Pacific Surgical Acquires BFW

VANCOUVER, October 31, 2023 – Pacific Surgical Holdings Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has acquired BFW, Inc. (“BFW”), a Kentucky-based supplier of premium surgical headlights and video imaging systems used in surgical procedures.

BFW was founded in the 1970’s by Leon Cooper to address the lack of quality lighting that surgeons required to perform precise surgical procedures. In 1990, Leon’s daughter, Lynn Cooper, joined the company and helped to expand the distribution of the company to Europe and beyond. BFW pioneered the first “Through-the-Lens” Headlight Video camera system in the late 1990s, and in 2014 in partnership with Long Island Technology Group, introduced LED technology with its launch of the Lighthouse Series portable and tethered headlights. Keir Surgical, a division of Pacific Surgical, has distributed BFW’s portfolio in Canada for over 30 years, a testament to the reputation of the high quality and strength of BFW products.
