Mobile Instrument Service & Repair Joins Pacific Surgical

May 2015 – Vancouver, BC – On Friday, May 1, 2015

Pacific Surgical finalized the acquisition of Mobile Instrument Service & Repair Canada Ltd.   MISR operates a full-service surgical instrument repair facility in Oshawa, Ontario and has five repair vans that provide on-site instrument repairs and preventative maintenance services for hospitals and surgical centers.

Michael Fish, President of Pacific Surgical, announced to stakeholders, “MISR has a unique offering of on-site instrument repair and preventative maintenance matched with comprehensive off-site instrument repair and refurbish options. We are excited to add a fifth member to the Pacific Surgical group of companies and look forward to working with MISR employees to grow their business by leveraging our complementary businesses.

Pacific Surgical is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Merrick (mikemerrick@mobileinstrument.ca) in the role of General Manager for MISR. Mike has more than 20 years of experience working within the medical device industry, including extensive expertise with surgical instruments and their repair and service requirements.
